Suzanne B. Stryker has exhibited at the Tucson Museum of Art and national and international shows in the U.S. and
Japan. She has won thirteen awards; including the highest art award at Tulane University. In 2007, she had over fifty
articles and TV and radio interviews about her art. Nationwide, major department stores have sold her graphic art.

Suzanne’s art career began at age ten, when her school had her paint three 20-foot murals depicting major historical
events. In 2005, she completed a 55-foot commissioned mural. Because of her academic achievements at Tulane
University in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was allowed to design her own major program called Interdepartmental Studies
in Art and Physics; focusing on studio art and laser holography. She received Bachelor's and Master's degrees with
honors, in the Science of Creative Intelligence from MERU Switzerland. Suzanne did postgraduate work in France, Italy,
Switzerland, India, and Thailand. She also studied art with Emmy award winner Ning Yeh.
Conversant in a variety of styles and mediums to suit her commissioned projects, Suzanne usually paints with oils or
acrylics. In order to produce luminous colors, she often uses time consuming glazing techniques, painting numerous thin
layers of transparent paint.
Suzanne usually prefers to paint in a spontaneous and intuitive manner. Often, she takes a blank canvas and just starts
painting. While that can be more challenging than working from a carefully thought out drawing, she finds it more
rewarding. She says: "Unexpected and beautiful things happen that I just couldn't have planned. I find it exhilarating to let
the creative forces of the universe, of God, flow through me. I like to explore new horizons and experiment. For me,
painting is a wonderful exercise in trust, intuition, surrender, and Self discovery. Daily yoga provide the foundation from
which I create."
